Dr. Alfred Lonser, M.D. has a background in Engineering. He obtained a Medical Degree from Loma Linda University in1998. He then went to the University of Virginia for a surgery residency before transitioning into Anesthesia. After successfully completing the Residency and Board requirements he and his family moved to Anchorage in 2002, where he was an anesthesiologist for Providence Hospital for 5 years. Since then Alaska has remained in his blood. He left Alaska for two years to complete a Pain Management fellowship at UCLA and then worked for one year in Nebraska before returning to Anchorage.
He enjoys pain management and specializes in interventional treatment. He provides expertise in spinal cord stimulator implantation, intrathecal pump implantation and vertebroplasty as well as the standard injection related treatments including epidural, facet, and selective nerve blocks.
